Upkar Singh Ahuja, President CICU stated that as the code of conduct is implemented in the state, the factories need to operate to keep the business and economy stable during election period, and for this purpose, they need to deal with day-to-day issues of cash payment. For the stated purpose, the petty cash would be required. Like payments to labour, contractors and many other small expenses.

Hence, CICU has requested the Govt to permit the businesses to carry cash of Rs. 10 lakhs for such emergencies for firms bearing GST number . Upkar Singh Ahuja insisted that such cooperation will facilitate the hassle-free operations of the factories in the state
