The Chamber of Industrial & Commercial Undertakings (CICU) has reported a sharp rise in profits and revenue for the financial year ending March 31, 2025, marking one of its strongest performances in recent years. At its executive committee meeting, the chamber’s annual balance sheet was unanimously approved, with members giving a standing ovation to President Upkar Singh Ahuja for his leadership.

According to the approved financials, CICU’s profit surged by 177 percent compared to the previous year, while sales grew by 41 percent during the same period. The committee described the performance as a reflection of both efficient management and the chamber’s long-standing commitment to serving industries in the region.

Acknowledging the achievement, Ahuja credited the results to the dedication of the CICU team and the consistent trust shown by its members, many of whom have been associated with the organization for decades.

 “CICU’s journey has always been rooted in promoting the growth of MSMEs in our region. We strive to work collaboratively with every level of government and build trust towards nation-building while supporting our members’ growth,” Ahuja said.

 The chamber reiterated its mission to empower micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) by creating opportunities, ensuring transparency, and maintaining accountability in all its operations. Members highlighted CICU’s proactive approach in fostering partnerships with government bodies and financial institutions, which has strengthened Ludhiana’s industrial ecosystem.

 Committee members lauded the chamber’s track record of driving initiatives that support industrial development and applauded the role of its office bearers in steering growth. The meeting concluded with a collective pledge to build on the momentum, expand initiatives, and continue supporting the MSME sector in Ludhiana and the surrounding regions.

 The latest performance, members said, positions CICU not just as a representative body but as a driving force behind regional industrial growth. With profits climbing and trust among members reinforced, the chamber now looks ahead to consolidating its role in supporting industry and contributing to the broader economic landscape.
