Court of Special Judge , CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation), Ghaziabad has ordered the attachment of two properties belonging to a Senior Passport Superintendent in connection with a disproportionate assets case. The official, earlier posted at the Regional Passport Office in Ghaziabad and currently serving in Mumbai, is under investigation for allegedly amassing wealth beyond known sources of income. As per order one residential flat in Raj Nagar Extension, Ghaziabad and one commercial shop in Greater Noida West, Gautam Budh Nagar have been attached.

Notably CBI on March 24^th  2025 had registered a case against the public servant. According to the agency, the accused had acquired disproportionate assets worth ₹85,06,900, amounting to 146.43% beyond known sources of income, during the check period from July 30, 2018 to September 30, 2024.

During the investigation, searches were conducted at the residential premises of the accused and at that time unaccounted cash of around ₹60 lakh was recovered by CBI, along with details of investments in immovable properties and other high-value expenses. Probe had also revealed that the Senior Passport Superintendent had also made investments in one residential flat in Raj Nagar Extension, Ghaziabad and one commercial shop in Greater Noida West, beyond his known sources of income.

Based on these findings, the CBI sought attachment of the two immovable assets allegedly acquired during the check period. The court granted an ad-interim order to secure the properties while the case proceeds.
