The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested a Senior Secretariat Assistant (SSA) at the Kendriya Vidyalaya, BNP, Dewas, on Friday after catching the official red-handed while accepting a bribe of ₹60,000.
The investigative agency initiated the action following a written complaint filed on December 23, 2025. The complainant alleged that the official demanded illegal gratification to clear outstanding bills related to the supply of security and manpower services to the school.
According to the CBI, the agency successfully executed a trap operation on December 25, 2025. Investigators caught the accused in the act of receiving the ₹60,000 bribe, which the official had reportedly requested through a banking channel.
Following the arrest, the CBI produced the accused before the Honorable Court on December 26, 2025. The court subsequently granted the agency three days of police custody to facilitate a deeper probe into the matter.
CBI officials stated that further investigation is currently underway to determine if other individuals were involved in the bribery scheme or if there are additional instances of financial irregularities at the institution.
