Ludhiana witnessed a grand start to the Angad Singh Memorial 11th CICU Corporate T20 Cricket Tournament 2025 on Saturday, as Cabinet Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian officially inaugurated the event at GRD Academy, Hambran Road. The Chamber of Industrial & Commercial Undertakings (CICU) organises the annual tournament to foster corporate bonding and promote sportsmanship among the industry community. The Minister, who served as Chief Guest, offered his best wishes to all participating teams, emphasizing that sports cultivate teamwork, discipline, and a healthy lifestyle.

CICU President Upkar Singh Ahuja, along with General Secretary Honey Sethi and other office bearers, welcomed the Minister and reaffirmed the event's purpose: creating a platform for positive engagement. Prominent industry leaders, including Padam Shree Omkar Singh Pahwa (CMD Avon Cycles Ltd.) and J. R. Singal (CMD Eastman Group), attended the inauguration, injecting enthusiasm into the start of the competitive matches.

In the tournament's opening match, a Group A clash, the Uniparts India Ltd. team decisively beat TRB Group by 67 runs. TRB Group won the toss and chose to field first, watching Uniparts India Ltd. post a formidable total of 185 runs for 4 wickets in their 20 overs. TRB Group could only manage 118 runs for 8 wickets in their chase. Aman Bhatia of Uniparts India Ltd. earned the Man of the Match award after scoring a quick-fire 32 runs off just 21 balls, featuring 5 boundaries.
