Captain Moneesh Kumar, Observer for the upcoming Zila Parishad and Block Samiti elections in Ludhiana district, on Wednesday reviewed the election preparedness in a virtual meeting with senior officials of the administration and police.

Kumar examined how the district plans to conduct the elections, who will manage the sensitive stations, and what measures are in place to ensure peaceful polling. He monitored deployment of security forces, distribution of ballot papers, and arrangements for transportation and logistics for polling parties.

The Observer said the administration has made the necessary preparations and expressed satisfaction over the arrangements. He directed all election staff to discharge their duties with impartiality and complete dedication so that every voter can cast their vote without fear.

Kumar emphasised that the administration and police have a shared responsibility to conduct free, fair, and transparent elections. He asked officials to strictly enforce the Model Code of Conduct.
