The directions were issued during a meeting held at the MC Zone A office near Mata Rani Chowk, where the senior civic officials reviewed sanitation arrangements and expressed concern over recurring complaints from old city localities. They instructed officials to ensure regular garbage lifting and uninterrupted functioning of static compactor sites across the city.
Later in the evening, Senior Deputy Mayor Prashar and MC Commissioner Dachalwal personally inspected the cleanliness situation by taking a scooter ride through several old city areas. The inspection covered Chaura Bazar, Old GT Road, Pindi Gali, Bijli Market, Rekhi Cinema Road, Girja Ghar Road and adjoining localities, where they interacted with officials and observed sanitation conditions on the ground.
