In a move aimed at accelerating development works and improving civic services, Mayor Principal Inderjit Kaur, Ludhiana East MLA Daljit Singh Bhola Grewal and Municipal Corporation Commissioner Aaditya Dachalwal on Friday held a review meeting with councillors of the Ludhiana East constituency at the MC Zone B office near Shingar cinema.

During the meeting, the leadership reviewed the progress of ongoing development projects and discussed issues being faced by residents at the ground level. The Mayor and MLA directed officials to conduct regular field visits and resolve public grievances promptly to ensure better service delivery.

Officials were also instructed to complete all ongoing development works within the stipulated time frame. Zonal Commissioner Neeraj Jain and officers from various Municipal Corporation branches attended the meeting and were asked to maintain close coordination with elected representatives.

To avoid delays in execution, the Superintending Engineers of the B&R branch and O&M cell were directed to hold weekly review meetings in the presence of concerned MLAs and councillors, allowing faster resolution of issues related to development works.

Mayor Inderjit Kaur and MLA Grewal stated that the state government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, remains committed to the overall development of Punjab. They added that the city’s development is being carried out without discrimination and that feedback from residents is being actively considered.

The Mayor, MLA and MC Commissioner further instructed officials of the health branch to ensure cleanliness across their respective areas. They emphasized the need for regular lifting of garbage, including from static compactor sites, to maintain proper sanitation in the city.
