Woman sub-postmaster falls in CBI net over Rs. 36 Lakh embezzlement

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has conducted searches at the premises of an accused Sub Post Master at Kullu. An amount of Rs 2 lakh (approx.) cash and certain incriminating documents were recovered during searches on the subpost master who is said to be a woman.

CBI registered the instant case against Sub Post Master, posted at Sub Post Office, Sultanpur SO, Distt. Kullu (Himachal Pradesh), on the allegations of misappropriating Government funds entrusted to her. It was also alleged that during the period August 2023 to January 2024 an amount of approximately Rs.36,30,125 was misappropriated. Further, accused allegedly had prepared false/fake Daily Transactions Report.
